We do not plant a church without the partnership of a local church. Our approach. Empowers local churches with a vision to reach into nearby slum communities by coming alongside that vision with our resources and experience. We do not plant churches to build MMP. We exist to serve the local church and its desire to plant new congregations. Usually we are able to plant a holistic church in two years, stepping back so that the mother church is the primary influence on the new, but established church plant. If you or your church is interested in partnering with MMP in this way. We would love to hear about your interest.
You can contact us or you can download the application below.

Melanie Ferrer - MMP Intern, May - October 2011
I have had the privilege of serving alongside of Mission Ministries Philippines for the past five months and my experience has been nothing short of amazing! I am a student from Azusa Pacific University who chose to study and serve in the Philippines for my major’s required Global Learning Term. As a Filipina-American, I came to get in touch with my roots, live life in communion with the locals and to serve the urban poor.
My time with MMP has been extremely fruitful for my academics and spirituality. I am very encouraged by the work that MMP is doing within urban poor communities. They sincerely care about the poverty spread across Metro Manila. MMP does not stop at concern but they take action to help community organize and spiritually nurture their communities. I joined Villa San Isidro’s team two months into their church plant. During my time here we conducted surveys, found leaders within the community, held events to familiarize ourselves with community members, launched a feeding program, started livelihood training and began bible studies. Through the events and programs I saw the community take initiative, unite as people and hope to see them continue to mobilize toward common goals.
It is encouraging to see an organization truly living out Jesus. We know Jesus came to earth to offer spiritual help, but Christians often forget that His ministry on earth had a deep concern for the both the poor and for social justice. Jesus Himself went to the synagogue, stood up and read ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.” MMP understands how to collide the physical, social and spiritual. I see MMP looking at poverty in the face, taking the courage and compassion of Jesus, and transforming communities to be sustainable and Spirit-led. The heart of MMP is beating at the same rhythm of Jesus’ heart. I am deeply inspired by their diligence and authenticity to serve country and communities!
